Welcome to Duffield Pre-school
We are a pre-school group based in a spacious room leading to a secure outside self-contained garden/play area at Meadows Primary School in Duffield. We welcome children from the term after their second birthday up to school age in our preschool.
Wrap Around Care - we offer before and after school care for children from the ages of 3 -11 Times for Wrap Around Care: 7.30 -9.00am and 3.30 - 6.00pm
We aim to:
- Provide a relevant and structured curriculum through which the children are able to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically
- Provide an environment that supports learning through play
- Ensure that all children feel included, valued and secure
- Work in partnership with parents and other professionals to develop every child’s potential
- Add to the life and well-being of our local community, and
- Offer children and their parents a service which promotes equality and values diversity.
We offer your child:
- A safe, happy and stimulating environment
- A high ratio of adults to children, 1 adult to 4 children for under three’s and 1 adult to 8 children for over three's
- An opportunity to engage in adult-led activities and learn to play as part of a group and independently
- Encouragement to develop skills and attitudes that will be a firm foundation for learning
- Opportunities to be imaginative and creative through art and craft, technology, music and role play Encouragement to develop a sense of independence and have an awareness of, and appreciate the needs of others
- A Key person who makes sure that what we provide is right for your child’s interests, needs and developmental progress
- An ethos that sees parents as partners helping your child to learn and develop
- A setting in which parents help to shape the services it offers
